This year's Bonn Symposium takes a look at the new global nature protection treaty currently negotiated by the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Its goal is to protect biodiversity and ecosystems as a central building block for achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For cities and municipalities, there are many ways to contribute to the conservation of the biosphere at the local level. In November, we will discuss these opportunities with representatives from local governments, science, business and civil society.
