Over the next three years, the future of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) – the roadmap for development policy since the year 2000 – will be decided. Against this background the author Jens Martens, Director of the Global Policy Forum Europe and Member of the Development and Peace Foundation’s Advisory Board, analyses the major challenge of reconciling these two processes to form one coherent agenda.
