Innovative regional solutions for food security in times of global crises
Brandenburg Dialogue “Learning with Africa”
26 April 2023, 18:00-19:30 hrs (CEST)
NH Hotel Potsdam, Germany
Languages German|English (simultaneous interpretation)
Global crises, such as the war in Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic and advancing climate change, have brought the provision of affordable food to the forefront in recent years, also in Europe and Germany. Some regions in Africa experience the most severe food crises in recent decades.
In this Brandenburg Dialogue, we will explore the question of which creative approaches have been developed in Brandenburg and in Africa as a response to the crises and where we can also learn from each other despite different preconditions. We will also look at the contributions that various actors, such as civil society, science and political actors at different levels can make and have already made.
The Brandenburg Dialogue takes place in the context of the annual Potsdam Spring Dialogues. On April 27th and 28th, the Spring Dialogues will deal with the topic "Food security in Africa in times of Global Crises - Regional strategies against hunger and dependency".
